Non-rebreather Mask Nursing Interventions

Description:

The Non-Rebreather mask (NRB) are used for patients requiring large quantities of oxygen.

Patients suffering from traumatic injuries or cardiac related illnesses call for the NRB.

The NRB employs a large reservoir that fills while the patient is exhaling.

The exhalate is forced through small holes on the side of the mask.

These holes are sealed while the patient is inhaling, thus preventing outside air from entering.

The patient is breathing pure oxygen. The flow rate for the NRB is 10 to 15 LPM.

All materials used in construction of the Oxygen Mask ,and the Oxygen Tubing are latex free, soft

and smooth surface without sharp edge and object, They have no undesirable effects on the

Oxygen/Medication passing through under ordinary conditions of use. Mask Material are hypoallergenic

and shall resist ignition and rapid buring,
