The full name laryngeal mask airway (LMA) is an artificial airway placed in the throat cavity and ventilated through the throat cavity by sealing the esophagus and throat cavity with a balloon. It avoids endotracheal intubation, but is more effective than the use of a mask.

Common laryngeal mask: it can be divided into 8 models according to size (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6). It is not recommended to be used for a long time because it is easy to leak during positive pressure ventilation, and there are risks of bloating, regurgitation and aspiration.
