When conducting analytical testing studies, pipettes are often used to measure small or small quantities of liquids. The correct use of pipettes and some of its details are overlooked by many people. Now it will be explained in detail from several aspects.
Range adjustment
To adjust the range, use your thumb and forefinger to turn the knob on the top of the dispenser. If you want to adjust the volume from low to low, follow the normal adjustment method and turn the knob counterclockwise; but if you want to adjust the volume from low to high, when you turn the scale knob clockwise until the scale exceeds the range, and then return to the set volume, you Maximum accuracy is guaranteed. During this process, do not push the button out of range, or you will get stuck in the internal mechanism and damage the pipette.
Pipette Tip Assembly
When the pipette tip is placed on the pipette, many people tap the head case a few times, which is wrong because the tap creates an instantaneous impact on the internal parts of the pipette. It becomes loose and can even cause the scale adjustment knob to stick. The correct way is to insert the pipette vertically into the tip and tighten slightly to the left. If it is a multi-channel (such as 8-channel or 12-channel) pipette, align the first line of the pipette with the first line, then insert it diagonally, and shake it back and forth. The logo of the chuck is slightly higher than the O-ring, and it can be seen that the connection part forms a clear seal.
