● Many experimenters did not wash their hands by themselves, and went to the experiment as soon as they sprayed alcohol. This is extremely wrong. Personal experience: you wash your hands carefully than spray alcohol. The best thing is to wash your hands carefully and carefully with soap/soap, all the way to the wrist and between the nails. Washing twice is a good option. Then spray alcohol on your hands.
● Some people wear a white coat with half sleeves for experiments. The cuffs of the white coat should be long, preferably the kind with tight cuffs. If not, the cuffs should be placed toward the arm. Be sure to also spray alcohol on exposed wrists. After wearing gloves, please avoid touching the outside of the workbench with your hands. If you have to touch it, then spray alcohol. It is better that the glove smells more alcohol.
● When taking the culture bottle and culture solution, please hold it under the support, and do not take the neck of the bottle.
● At the beginning of the experiment every day, it is a good choice to illuminate the ultra-clean bench/experiment room with UV light for 20 minutes.
● One thing to note is that the things in the ultra-clean bench must be kept as little as possible. The more you put it on, the more likely it will be contaminated.
● Try to avoid talking during operation, especially the cell room is strictly prohibited to play and laugh.
● Observe the state of the cells every day, don't think about save all the time, but throw away the cells immediately if something is wrong (such as slow growth). Some (such as mycoplasma) contamination, microscopic examination is not visible, but abnormal cell growth. So if the cells grow abnormally, please throw them away, and due to airborne mycoplasma, please check your culture medium and incubator for contamination.
