What Are The Factors Affecting The Quality Of Laboratory Pipette Tips?

Pipette tips are a kind of laboratory consumables commonly used in laboratories. There are usually many factors that affect pipette tips. Today, Xiaoyue will introduce some important factors to you.

1. Material

At present, the suction heads on the market are basically made of polypropylene plastic (a colorless and transparent plastic with high chemical inertness and a wide temperature range). High-quality tips are generally made from natural polypropylene, while inexpensive tips are likely to be made from recycled polypropylene plastic.

Our suction head is made of high-purity PP polypropylene material, which has high transparency, resistance to organic solvents, and a wide range of temperature resistance: -80°C~121°C. It will not deform after high temperature and high pressure. High-quality raw materials bring high performance.

2. Additives

In addition, most tips will add a small amount of additives during the manufacturing process.

The common ones are: a. Chromogenic materials, used for blue pipette tips and yellow pipette tips; b. Additives, which help the tips to be released from the mold quickly after forming; c. Additives for treating the surface of low adsorption pipette tips.

The more additives, the higher the probability of unwelcome chemical reactions during pipetting, but no additives have higher requirements on the production process, which few manufacturers can achieve.

We have the industry's advanced mold design technical support, using ultra-fine grinding molding technology, no release agent can be released, and the inner wall is smooth, the liquid residue is minimized, safe and secure.

3. Biological contamination

More and more users will request that the tips are free of RNase, DNase, pyrogen and ATP pollution, and endotoxin. However, high-temperature sterilized tips cannot completely guarantee that there is no biological contamination. To ensure that there is no biological contamination, steps such as gamma ray treatment are required. Therefore, it is almost impossible for users to process ordinary tips into non-biologically contaminated tips by themselves, and the purchased non-biologically contaminated boxed tips must provide corresponding certificates, indicating the test data of the corresponding items.

Our products are all produced in 100,000-level dust-free workshops, free of pyrogens, DNA enzymes, RNA enzymes, and endotoxins; all products have passed quality certification, are safe and reliable, and are worthy of your choice!
